Markus Selzner completed a residency in General Surgery at the University Hospitals of Cologne/Germany and Zurich/Switzerland. He performed a three-year research fellowship focusing on hepatic reperfusion injury at the Duke University Medical Center. He continued is training with a clinical fellowship in Liver/ Pancreas Surgery and Liver Transplantation in Zurich, followed by a second fellowship abdominal organ transplantation in Toronto. He is currently the Surgical Director of the Ajmera Liver Transplant Program at the University of Toronto and Co-Director of the Toronto Abdominal Organ Transplant Fellowship. His research is focused on abdominal organ preservation and perfusion.
